We have been asked several times if the aftermarket IWI Tavor triggers, such as the Shooting Sight TAV-D, and Geissel Automatics Super Sabra work in the new IWI X95. The short answer is yes, but with some minor modifications. We go over what needed to been done to our x95 in order for the Shooting Sight TAV-D, and Geissele Super Sabra triggers to work properly.
Custom Boba Fett Tavor by Blown Deadline & Gear Head Works
Here is the ever popular custom Boba Fett IWI Tavor, done by Blown Deadline and Gear Head Works. In the video we will give you a closer look at this Star Wars inspired masterpiece. You will also see us shooting the Boba Fett blaster with the new Magpul Pmag D60 drum magazine, and an OSS Gen 4 suppressor.
First let me start by saying the Ar-15 in this video is not a Cobalt Kinetics rifle. The custom rifles that Cobalt builds have been designed to aid in making reloads faster and seem to work very well from what we’ve seen. Now with that being said I know you’ve been told that you can’t reload a bullpup as fast as an ar-15, and that’s true. You can reload it even faster! This video was all done in fun and is kind of tongue and cheek, but with a little training as you can see you can become very fast with a platform like the IWI Tavor. Ar-15’s are great and we run them most of the time, but let’s not forget it’s not the only thing out there. Continue Reading
Homeland Guns has upgraded the T-REx accessory rail for the IWI Tavor rifle to the T-REx LT, by making it longer and adding a threaded hole that can be used to attach a sling swivel the T-REx LT can also be used to mount a bipod on the gun. The T-REx LT is made out of the same high quality aircraft aluminum as the original rail so you won’t have to worry about it holding up under adverse conditions. to get your own T-REx LT rail check out the Homeland Guns Facebook page or give here: https://www.facebook.com/HomelandGuns?fref=ts or give them a call at (740)-820-GUNS

Shooting the IWI X95 micro Tavor in full auto was a blast at the 2014 Bullpup Convention! This little rifle handles like a race car and is as fast as one too! The X95 is quick on target and ergonomics are excellent. The new location of the magazine release was very natural and familiar. We loved the picatinny rails under the forend covers for mounting all your accessories to the gun. Now we just have to wait for IWI and the ATF to play nice together, so we can get a civilian legal version to market. The weapon had not one problem that we seen while shooting in both semi and fully automatic. They shot a lot of ammo through it let me tell you, I’m talking thousands of rounds! So, what more can we say about the Micro X95 Tavor? It’s fast, smooth, sexy and handles like a dream. What more can we say? We want one for our own! The future is here with the Tavor OSS Suppressor Systems. The new silencer has it all, good looks and brains and with plenty of options to boot. First, let me start by saying the OSS Tavor specific suppressor looks fantastic but it’s not just another pretty face, no sir it has the function too. It has the ability to shoot the suppressor with just the BRP for a super short and mild sound suppression or add the SRM for the utmost in noise suppression, it is like getting two suppressors in one. The OSS suppressor has a number of distinct advantages over traditional silencers, like the one we just spoke about having the ability to shoot it in two different configurations. Continue Reading
Worlds First 300 Blackout Tavor by Gear Head Works
Over the weekend at the 2014 Bullpup Convention in Park City KY, Paul at Gear head Works announced the worlds first 300 Blackout Tavor by Gear Head Works. We of course were on hand to demo the guns first shots to the public. Everyone that came out to see the announcement and demo we’re very impressed with how well the system worked and how smooth it was. We did run suppressed but with only non subsonic ammunition, still trying to work all the bugs out on the subsonic ammo. The reps for IWI were not leaving there without shooting the new 300 Blackout Tavor, as you can tell they were not disappointed! Only a few lucky people were allowed to shoot the weapon, My friend Hank Strange got a demo form me as well, and as you can clearly see he loved it! This is not the last you will see of the Gear Head Works 300 Blackout Tavor, stay tuned for more testing footage. if you would like to learn more about any of Gear Head Works other products please check them out on their website HERE All photos seen in this video were taken by our good friend, Oleg Volk check out his work HERE
In this video we test a prototype of the Gear Head Works Razorback Tavor Top Rail. The Razorback is a replacement rail for the IWI Tavor flat top. This allows faster and easier caliber changes without having to remove the top rail from the barrel assembly or remove the optic from the rail. That means no re-zeroing the rifle every time you do a caliber change. There is more good news too! The Razorback allows you to use any standard height ar iron sight or optic without the use of risers. Lets not forget the looks. The Razorback looks great on the gun and gives flat top owners a way to have the IDF model look when they want it. Two sizes; both short rail and long rail gives users more options with the way the want their Tavor configured or how they want it to look. The Gear Head Works Razorback Tavor top rail is made out of 6061 billet aluminum so you know it’s going to last and it is hard anodized to match the Tavor perfectly. What more could you ask for? Great looks, form and function, and the ability to do faster caliber changes with less steps! The Gear Head Works Razorback has it all. For more information on the Razorback or any of the other products that Gear Head Works has to offer check out their website at. http://www.gearheadworks.com
We tested the IWI Tavor 9mm suppressed using Emcon HPR suppressor specific ammunition and the Silencerco / SWR Octane 9 HD suppressor / silencer. The results were a very quiet and capable 9mm Tavor carbine. We had zero malfunctions during our testing which came as no surprise since the 5.56 has been flawless as well. The IWI 9mm conversion kit is a great addition for any Tavor owner in my opinion and I talk about why I believe this to be the case in the video. If you would like more info on the IWI 9mm conversion or any other IWI products please visit their website here. www.iwi.us
