IWI X95 Bullpup First impressions

This video is from our first trip to the range with the new IWI X95 bullpup Rifle. Like the Tavor the X95 will run any kind of ammo you want to put in it. We tested Federal, Remington, Tula, Wolf Gold, Wolf Steel, and a few others with no issues whatsoever. The recoil is smooth and fairly light, just like it’s IWI big brother. The new magazine release on the X95 is ok, but we still prefer the one on the Tavor better. The biggest and best improvement over the Tavor is the built in rail system on the new x95. The new gun has both left right, and bottom standard picatinny rails, with easily removable covers. The new X95 also features a full picatinny top rail with back up sights that are built into the rail. Overall our first impressions of this new offering from IWI are very good. We will do another video on the gun after we have had a lot more time with it. If you want to learn more about the new X95 rifle from IWI click the link here:

DRT Ammunition 9mm Terminal Shock

This will be the first test in a series of tests that we will do with the DRT “Dynamic Research Technologies” Terminal Shock series. In This video we shoot the 9mm hollow Point through a 16″ Clear Ballistics block. We use a Glock 19, and a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 for the test, both fired and about 3 yards. We also fire the DRT Terminal Shock rounds through six layers of denim. We were very impressed with the performance of the ammo, both in penetration and wound channel. The results we got were exactly what DRT claims in its advertisements, which we really liked. This ammo is best suited for CCW, and home defense for the damage it causes, and it’s ability not to over penetrate. We will be doing more test with this ammo, as well as some other calibers from DRT Ammunition. If you would like to learn more about DRT, and the different kind of ammunition they offer please visit their website here:

Glock 43 Magazine Release Fix

In this video we give you step by step instructions on how to fix the Glock 43 magazine release. I think this is only an issue with early productions on the pistol, as we have tested newer released Glock 43 and they don’t seem to have this issue. I hope this Glock 43 magazine release fix video helped you if you were having this same problem.

CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Pistol

The CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Pistol is a much anticipated new offering from CZ USA. The Scorpion EVO 3 S1 is a semi automatic pistol version of the CZ Scorpion EVO A1 submachine gun. The MSRP on the S1 is $850 not too bad when you compare it to other offerings of this type. The CZ Scorpion ships with two 20 round magazines, a bore snake, lock, and sight adjustment tool. CZ dose offer 30 mags for the gun but at the time of this article they are very hard to find in stock. MSRP on the 30 rounders is only $19.99 now compare that to some of the other mags on similar guns and and the Scorpion starts to really look good! A set of really nice metal sights also comes on top of the Scorpion, seems like most companies forget to include those anymore. Continue Reading

40 Fit to Fight or Fit to Fail

Screen Shot 2015-01-15 at 9.39.34 AM

Hello, my name is forty. I come from a generation that grew up watching the Andy Griffith show at supper time, and could hardly wait till Saturday morning so I could watch bugs bunny on one of the three channels we had on our huge 19 inch TV. My X games consisted of a big wheel and a steep hill. My “call of duty” was keeping my room clean and getting the chores done before the old man got home from work. My social media was a huffy bicycle that I rode to see my friends down the road. My idea of respect for my elders and those in potions of authority were not debatable, a good swift backhand to the lips or a good solid swipe of a leather belt seemed to reinforce the importance of respecting others. Sunday morning preaching taught me to value the life of everyone, because we’re all going through a battle in this world….it’s funny how all the small things added up in my generation to produce men and women that knew the best way to get ahead in life was to keep your hands working instead of stretching them out for a freebie. Beretta ARX 100 Frist shots

We take the Beretta ARX 100 first shots at our range for a few function test, and I’m happy to say the ARX preformed perfectly during all of them. We tried a few different kinds of ammo and a few different mags just to make sure that it was a good test for the rifle. Like always we will be doing a full review once we have enough time and rounds down range with the gun.  The Beretta ARX 100 preformed great so far and we don’t expect that to change, but if it does rest assured that we will let you know. If you would like to learn more about the Beretta ARX 100 or any of Beretta’s other fine firearms please visit them at their website. Here

Hill & Mac Gunworks Target System

The Hill & Mac Gunworks Target System is one of the best we’ve seen as far as form and function is concerned. The target system is well thought out and works as you’d expect it to. They offer both a rifle and pistol version of the targets, and with many different shapes to choose from. The targets are a reactive system, meaning that every time you hit the target it well fold backwards and then spring forward back into position again to confirm the hit on target. This is a very nice feature especially if you are shooting at distance, because it makes it easier to identify hits. It’s also very rewarding watching the target go down after a well placed hit. Another nice feature that the Hill & Mac Gunworks target system has is the ability to change out the target plates once you make the initial investment in a HMG system. It’s very easy to change plates simply by removing a cotter pin and pulling out and removing the spring pin, then just put whatever plate that HMG offers on, it’s like having a bunch of targets in one. The Hill & Mac Gunworks target system can also be elevated by purchasing an elevation kit sold by HMG. Another option is the target remote reset, unlike some other companies that require you to lug around a car battery to reset your reactive target Hill & Mac Gunworks only uses  four AA batteries in it’s resetter and is good for tens or thousands of resets, and can be used out to a thousand yards. With all the features and options you get with this target system it’s a no brainer, you need this system in your life it your serious about shooting steel and want a product that will last a lifetime. Remington To Replace The R51 With New Model

20140320_211429

As we reported a few weeks ago about Remington removing the R51 form their website, it is now confirmed that Remington will scrap the old R51 and replace it with a new model. Anyone that has a current R51 can receive the new model with a few little extras to boot. Well, it looks like we were right all along about this little mess of a CCW pistol, lets just hope the new model lives up to all the hype. Remington made the announcement today and here it is. SWAT K9 Integration Course

We decided to go along with some of our local law enforcement officers to a SWAT K9 integration course. The video you see above is the result of that trip. The course consists of several different types of training including firearms training, search and rescue, tunnel training, OC gas training and much more over the course of several days. I was amazed at the drive, dedication and team work of both man and animal! The temperature was over 100 degrees with the heat index and they had been training for several days in the hot sun, so they deserve nothing but respect for the hard work they put into what they do! I can tell you this though you don’t want to be on the business end of one of these K9 cops when it’s work time I can assure you of that, because when they are working it’s all business! We had a great time as usual with these guys they are true professionals and most of them personal friends. I think if more people really knew or wanted to know how hard these people work to keep us all safe it would change a lot of peoples minds and opinions of police officers in general for the better! It’s not an easy job folks.
