The New Sig MPX, It’s Not Perfect

We had a chance to take the new Sig Sauer MPX out for a workout the other day. At first glance we were in love with the MPX. The pistol looks to be well made, with it’s all metal construction and buttery smooth action. What can we say? This thing looks great! The Sig MPX comes in a very nice hard case with cut out foam that fits the gun and included accessories perfectly. The Sig handgun also comes with the new Sig SBX Brace on a folding adaptor that is already attached to the gun. The MPX also includes a sling, three 2″ aluminum rails and a full cleaning kit, very nice touches in our opinion. Continue Reading

CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Pistol

The CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 Pistol is a much anticipated new offering from CZ USA. The Scorpion EVO 3 S1 is a semi automatic pistol version of the CZ Scorpion EVO A1 submachine gun. The MSRP on the S1 is $850 not too bad when you compare it to other offerings of this type. The CZ Scorpion ships with two 20 round magazines, a bore snake, lock, and sight adjustment tool. CZ dose offer 30 mags for the gun but at the time of this article they are very hard to find in stock. MSRP on the 30 rounders is only $19.99 now compare that to some of the other mags on similar guns and and the Scorpion starts to really look good! A set of really nice metal sights also comes on top of the Scorpion, seems like most companies forget to include those anymore. Continue Reading

Remington R51 Is Dead To Me, For Now

Yup the Remington R51 is dead to me, for now anyway. As most of you know we have had a long ordeal with the Remington R51 that has been on going for nearly a year. Remington had released an update a few months ago that they would be shipping peoples newly redone R51’s with a free Pelican case and two free magazines in mid October, Well since we are now in mid November we decided to give Remington another call and check on what is going on? We were told that things have changed and they were now moving their whole R51 team to the new Alabama facility and that we would not be seeing our gun till at least the 2nd quarter of 2015 which would make it over a year without have a gun or our money back. Remington informed us that we had three options to choose from in regards to our R51, number one we could keep waiting for our R51 till mid next year and get the free case and mags, or we could get a full refund of the purchase price of the pistol, if we could produce the original receipt were we bought the handgun from which shouldn’t be a problem as gun shops keep these sort of thing on file. Now for the third and final option and the one we choose and think is the best way to go. Remington will send you a base R1 1911 in place of your R51, The R1 cost about $200 more than the R51 so this is your best choice in our opinion whether you want to keep it or sale it for a profit it’s up to you. Barrett 82A1 Semi Auto 50 BMG

We had a great time out shooting the Barrett 82a1 semi auto 50 BMG with a few of our friends and one of our favorite sponsors, Paul from Gear Head Works. The Barrett 50 cal powerhouse was so smooth and flawless in its operation, it is just a joy to shoot. So many people are scared to death of the 50 BMG round due to its massive size and reputation. But, if you have ever shot one you already know that it’s really not that bad especially when being fired from the 82a1. It just soaks up so much of the recoil with its dual barrel springs and bolt spring system. If I were to compare it to something it would probably be like a 12ga firing a 3″ slug. Continue Reading

IWI X95 Micro Tavor In Full Auto

Shooting the IWI X95 micro Tavor in full auto was a blast at the 2014 Bullpup Convention! This little rifle handles like a race car and is as fast as one too! The X95 is quick on target and ergonomics are excellent. The new location of the magazine release was very natural and familiar. We loved the picatinny rails under the forend covers for mounting all your accessories to the gun. Now we just have to wait for IWI and the ATF to play nice together, so we can get a civilian legal version to market. The weapon had not one problem that we seen while shooting in both semi and fully automatic. They shot a lot of ammo through it let me tell you, I’m talking thousands of rounds! So, what more can we say about the Micro X95 Tavor? It’s fast, smooth, sexy and handles like a dream. What more can we say? We want one for our own! Custom Built Glock 19 By Mod 1 Firearms

Custom Built Glock 19 By Mod 1 Firearms

In this video we look at a custom built Glock 19 by Mod 1 Firearms. We had this Glock 19 worked over by the guys over at mod1 Firearms and the results were absolutely fantastic! Mod1 touched every inch of the gun, from the frame texturing to the custom slide milling. We couldn’t be more pleased with the work done on this weapon. What you see here will be my new EDC gun, and we will be doing long term testing and evolution on the gun. So stay tuned for those videos! Beretta ARX 100 Frist shots

We take the Beretta ARX 100 first shots at our range for a few function test, and I’m happy to say the ARX preformed perfectly during all of them. We tried a few different kinds of ammo and a few different mags just to make sure that it was a good test for the rifle. Like always we will be doing a full review once we have enough time and rounds down range with the gun.  The Beretta ARX 100 preformed great so far and we don’t expect that to change, but if it does rest assured that we will let you know. If you would like to learn more about the Beretta ARX 100 or any of Beretta’s other fine firearms please visit them at their website. Here

First shots with the SCCY CPX-2

We took the SCCY CPX-2 out for the first time today. We ran a ton of different brands and types of 9mm ammunition through the pistol without so much as a single hiccup. The gun ran everything we put in it, and with more than 150 rounds down the pipe, the first test was a success. The CPX2 comes with two Ten round magazines  and both the pinky and flush fit mag plates. The trigger is a  double action long 9 pound pull with a long reset, but it is very smooth and comfortable to shoot. The three dot sights are very easy to pickup and accurate out to at least 20 yards, which is as far as we took it on this trip. The rear sight is made of steel and adjustable  for windage only.  Field stripping the weapon is also very easy and straight forward just as one would expect it to be. We will be doing a lot more testing on the SCCY CPX-2 over the next few months so stay tuned for the full review of this fine little handgun. IWI Tavor 9mm Suppressed

IWI Tavor 9mm Suppressed

We tested the IWI Tavor 9mm suppressed using Emcon HPR suppressor specific ammunition and the Silencerco / SWR Octane 9 HD suppressor / silencer. The results were a very quiet and capable 9mm Tavor carbine. We had zero malfunctions during our testing which came as no surprise since the 5.56 has been flawless as well. The IWI 9mm conversion kit is a great addition for any Tavor owner in my opinion and I talk about why I believe this to be the case in the video. If you would like more info on the IWI 9mm conversion or any other IWI products please visit their website here. www.iwi.us
